Paul is an experienced wedding entertainer, musician, MC and interviewer who knows how to help people relax and open up.

After years of helping create memorable wedding celebrations, Paul started GoodChat to capture something weddings often leave behind: the voices, personalities and stories of the people in the room.

His interview style is warm, conversational and natural. It should feel less like being formally interviewed and more like talking with someone you trust.

What is a Wedding Chat?

A Wedding Chat is a relaxed series of short interviews with the people who matter most to you. We capture their memories, stories, advice and messages throughout your wedding day, then edit them into a beautifully presented film you can keep forever.

Yes. A traditional wedding videographer generally focuses on filming the ceremony, speeches and key moments of the day. GoodChat focuses specifically on the voices and stories of your family and friends. We work alongside your photographer and videographer, rather than replacing them.

That is completely up to you. We can speak with parents, grandparents, siblings, members of the bridal party, lifelong friends and other special guests. You can provide a list of important people beforehand, while still leaving room for spontaneous conversations on the day.

No. The conversations are designed to feel natural, relaxed and unobtrusive. Interviews are usually recorded during quieter moments, such as pre-dinner drinks, between formalities or during the reception. We coordinate with your venue, photographer, videographer and wedding team to avoid interrupting important moments.

Most conversations take approximately three to eight minutes, depending on the person and the stories they have to share. There is no pressure to perform or prepare a speech. We guide each guest with simple, thoughtful questions.

Absolutely. The interviews are conversational rather than formal, and Paul helps each guest feel comfortable before recording. People can answer one simple question, share a longer story or choose not to participate at all.

That is completely fine. Participation is always optional, and nobody will be pressured to appear on camera.

Definitely. In fact, capturing the voices and memories of parents and grandparents is often one of the most meaningful parts of a Wedding Chat. These conversations can become even more valuable as the years pass.

Yes. We can tailor the questions around your relationship, family history, important guests and the kinds of stories you would love to preserve. You can also request specific questions or messages before the wedding.

Yes. GoodChat is designed to complement your existing wedding suppliers. We communicate and coordinate with your photographer, videographer, celebrant, MC and venue team so everyone can work comfortably without getting in each other’s way.

A reasonably quiet area is helpful, but it does not need to be a formal studio. We can usually find a suitable location at the venue that still feels connected to the celebration.

Yes. GoodChat is based on the Sunshine Coast and services weddings across South East Queensland, including Brisbane, Noosa and the Gold Coast. Travel outside these areas may also be available. Additional travel or accommodation costs may apply depending on the location.

Editing time depends on the package, the number of interviews and the length of the finished film. Your expected delivery timeframe will be confirmed before booking.

Your completed films will be delivered digitally through a private online link, making them easy to watch, download and share with family and friends.
